Dr. Calvin Parker was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. He joins our team after serving honorably for 12 years as a physician for the US Army. He obtained his Bachelor’s of Science Degree from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA. He earned his M.D. degree at the Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC, after which he was commissioned as an Officer in the US Army. Dr. Parker’s Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology/Hepatology fellowship training were done at Eisenhower Army Medical Center in Augusta, GA and Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX. In addition to general gastroenterology, he also received training in advanced endoscopic procedures in the field of interventional biliary endoscopy and has published several case reports.
Dr. Parker is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the National Medical Association. Dr. Parker is Board Certified in Gastroenterology. His practice style revolves around a patient centered approach fostering the physician-patient partnership in the effort to preserve health and correct pathology.
Dr. Parker’s professional interests include, but are not limited to, interventional biliary endoscopy, hepatology, inflammatory bowel disease, colorectal cancer, and esophageal disorders.
