Elisse Park, M.D. is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who practices all aspects of ophthalmic care including the evaluation and management of cataract, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, and other conditions.
Dr. Park’s expertise includes cataract surgery, glaucoma laser surgery, yag capsulotomy, intravitreal injections, treatment of chalazia and eyelid lesions, and numerous other procedures. She also offers premium intraocular lenses for patients who wish to reduce spectacle dependence after cataract surgery.
Dr. Park graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Art History from Georgetown University. After being admitted to Georgetown’s medical school during her second year through the Early Assurance Program, Dr. Park went on to graduate from the Georgetown University School of Medicine. After completing an internal medicine internship at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Morningside in New York, Dr. Park completed her ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System in Richmond, Virginia. During her residency, Dr. Park was awarded the Resident Research Award. She has been published in several academic journals including Retina Today and American Journal of Stem Cells. She has also been an invited guest lecturer for the Georgetown Women’s Network and Easton Senior Center, among other organizations.
Dr. Park is also a staff physician at Bridgeport Hospital and Connecticut Eye Surgery Center. Dr. Park is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology.
