New Jersey gastroenterologist Dr. Gagan D. Beri is dedicated to improving the quality of his patients’ lives and, toward this end, has developed special expertise in diagnosing and treating a range of gastrointestinal conditions and procedures. He is particularly interested in functional digestive disorders, such as Celiac Disease and Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and highly skilled in advanced therapies which include Non-Surgical Hemorrhoid Therapy which include photocoagulation and banding of dilated hemorrhoidal blood vessels.
Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, Dr. Beri has presented at national meetings of the American College of Gastroenterology and authored articles on Barrett’s esophagus, colonoscopy safety and many other topics for peer-viewed professional journals. He was named Jersey Shore University Medical Center’s (JSUMC) Physician of the Year for 2010, and is a past recipient of the National Institutes of Health’s Cancer Research Training Award. Dr. Beri teaches JSUMC residents, and has clinical privileges at JSUMC and Monmouth Medical Center. He performs his outpatient procedures at Advanced Endoscopy & Surgical Center, the premiere Medicare and AAAHC-certified and New Jersey state licensed ambulatory surgical facility in Eatontown. He is a member of the Alumni Associations of both the Mayo Clinic and University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
An undergraduate of The College of New Jersey, Dr. Beri received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School in 2001. His postgraduate training includes a residency in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at UMDNJ.
Dr. Beri has spoken about gastrointestinal health at a variety of community venues, and lectured on Celiac Disease to the Endoscopy Nurses Association. When he’s not practicing medicine, he spends time with this wife and two children and engages in many hobbies and interests, including gardening, reading, art and history.
