- Oral Surgery
Dr. Michel attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery and then completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Emory University School of Medicine. During that time Dr. Michel was trained to diagnose and treat disorders of the teeth, jaws, and face. He practices dentoalveolar, implant, and orthognathic surgery, as well as treats pathology and traumatic facial injuries. Dr. Michel continues to incorporate new technologies into his procedures to improve patient outcomes.
Upon finishing residency, and achieving board certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Michel sought additional training to treat facial soft tissue deformities. Dr. Michel was accepted into a highly competitive facial cosmetic surgery fellowship with Dr. Jon Perenack at Louisiana State University – New Orleans (LSUNO) where he performed over 900 cosmetic procedures.
During his fellowship, he was faculty at LSUNO’s Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program teaching residents. Dr. Michel treats the aging face and neck with Morpheus8, Facetite, liposuction, face and neck lifts, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, chin augmentation, lip lifts, blepharoplasty, and brow lifts with the same precision he does the facial bones and teeth. He also provides BotoxTM and filler injections to patients looking to enhance their confidence non-surgically.
In his spare time, Dr. Michel plays ice hockey, golfs, and enjoys hiking with his wife Leighanne, son Jackson, and rescue dog Chloe.
