At her practice, Colorectal Care of New Jersey, she specializes in colorectal surgery with a focus on proctology. Dr. Choi is highly skilled in minimally invasive surgery and frequently uses laparoscopic techniques for abdominal procedures. She completed her undergraduate studies in Nutrition and Food Science at Hunter College in New York City before attending medical school at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Choi completed her general surgery residency at New York Methodist Hospital (now NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital) and subsequently worked as a general surgeon at the same hospital for four years. She then pursued fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery at Albany Medical Center. Following her fellowship, Dr. Choi served as the Division Chief of Colorectal Surgery at St. Joseph’s Health System in northern New Jersey for four years before opening her private practice in Fort Lee, NJ. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Dr. Choi is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese.
