A Raleigh native, Dr. Dougherty completed his medical degree and GI fellowship at the UNC School of Medicine, including a master’s degree focused on clinical research in gastrointestinal cancer prevention. He enjoys all aspects of general gastroenterology, and is particularly interested in diseases of the stomach and esophagus, as well as inflammatory bowel disease.
