Michael V. Elman, MD, is a skilled orthopedic specialist who has been in solo private practice since 2008. Dr. Elman sees patients in Braintree, Foxboro, and Dorchester.
Dr. Elman was raised on the North Shore of Boston. After graduating high school with honors from St. John’s Prep, Dr. Elman was admitted to the highly selective seven-year B.A./M.D. program at Boston University. In the College of Arts and Sciences he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society and graduated summa cum laude. Dr. Elman went on to complete his orthopedic surgery internship and residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He then furthered his training by returning to Boston University to complete a sports medicine fellowship. There Dr. Elman served as a team doctor for various Division I NCAA sports teams, including the esteemed Men’s Ice Hockey team.
Dr. Elman’s hospital affiliations include Norwood Hospital in Norwood, MA, Carney Hospital in Dorchester, MA, and Morton Hospital in Taunton, MA. He is fluent in English and Russian, with a working knowledge of Spanish.
In his spare time Dr. Elman enjoys golf and skiing with his family and is the proud father of two sons and a daughter. He is an avid fan of our local sports teams.
