He received his doctorate at USC School of Medicine in Columbia, then moved to Winston-Salem, NC, for further training.
He completed his internal medicine residency and GI fellowship at Wake Forest. In the year in between residency and fellowship, he was appointed a faculty position in the internal medicine department at Wake Forest. He enjoys all aspects of gastroenterology but has particular interests in inflammatory bowel disease, bile duct disorders, and advanced endoscopy.
Dr. Jones is board certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology. He currently serves as a member of the Greenville County Medical Society, South Carolina Gastroenterology Association, South Carolina Medical Association, as well as the American College of Gastroenterology, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, American Society for Gastroenterology Endoscopy, and American Gastroenterology Association.

Patient Satisfaction
Dr. Jones’s ratings are among the best for Greenville Gastroenterologists, receiving a combined average rating of more than four stars on Healthgrades and Vitals. Among his highest ratings are his trustworthiness, ability to answer questions and time spent with patient. One five-star reviewer says:
“The day of the procedure, he was on time, he greeted me before hand, he asked me if I had any questions or concerns before he started the procedure. He was very patient. He looked rested and ready. The procedure was completed with no complications or complaints. He explained the results to me without rushing. He followed up with me the next day by phone. He called, not a nurse. He was fabulous. He has an EXCELLENT BED SIDE MANNER. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!”
