Dr. Susan Kais received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. She went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Miami/The Crohn’s & Colitis Center in Miami, FL. Her Fellowship training took place at The University of Miami/The Crohn’s & Colitis Center in Miami as well as at Scripps Green Clinic & Hospital in La Jolla, CA. Dr. Kais then completed her residency at The University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center in Chicago, IL.
Dr. Kais is a member of a number of professional organizations including the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Association for the study of liver disease, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy to name a few. She is also involved in a number or research projects in the areas of IBD and General GI.
Dr. Kais’s interests and hobbies outside of work include walking her dog “Koko,” spending time with her family and friends, staying fit and healthy, traveling, and making others laugh and smile.
