Dr. Zachary Spiritos grew up in Philadelphia, PA however he made his way to North Carolina after attending Davidson College where he graduated with honors cum laude. He proceeded to stay locally for his medical training which he completed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he also obtained a degree in public health. Dr. Spiritos did his internal medicine residency at Emory University and eventually finished his gastroenterology fellowship training at Duke University.
Dr. Spiritos treats all disorders of general gastroenterology and hepatology, however his specific clinical interests include irritable bowel syndrome, functional abdominal pain, and motility disorders.
