Procedure

During the procedure, your doctor inserts a thin, rigid cystoscope, called a resectoscope, into your bladder through your urethra. The doctor can look inside the bladder and use a wire loop at the end of the scope to take tumor samples and to remove any abnormal tissues or tumors.

After the Procedure

You will …

  • Experience some bleeding and pain when you urinate.
  • Need to delay usual activities for a week or two.
