Colon cancer is one of the most preventable forms of cancer, yet it remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths. Early detection through screening, especially colonoscopies, allows providers to find and remove precancerous polyps before cancer develops.

By sponsoring the Get Your Rear in Gear 5K, St. George Endoscopy Center is reinforcing its commitment to community education, prevention and early detection. Proceeds from the event benefit the Colon Cancer Coalition, supporting programs focused on screening access, patient support, research, and public education.

Beyond fundraising, the event serves as a reminder that screening saves lives and that many people who feel healthy may still be at risk.

St. George Endoscopy Center encourages adults age 45 and older, or those with risk factors, to talk with a provider about scheduling a colonoscopy. As the gold standard for screening, colonoscopies can often prevent cancer altogether.

Community members are encouraged to register for the Get Your Rear in Gear St. George 5K before the June 3 deadline and take the next step by scheduling a colonoscopy with St. George Endoscopy Center.
